In 1982 Barbara Dollar opened a little clothing and accessories boutique for women in the (then) quiet area of Mass. Ave., north of Harvard Square. From the day Susanna opened its door, it has enjoyed a charmed existence and continues to be loved for its stylish, non- mainstream clothing, beautifully designed accessories and warm and friendly atmosphere.

In 1984, Susanna expanded along with the rest of Porter Square and is now surrounded by many other interesting businesses making this area a very worthwhile shopping destination.

The inventory at Susanna is interesting and varied. T shirts, sweaters, and casual business attire are mixed with romantic tiered skirts, vintage inspired dresses and wonderful shawls and scarves. Across the front of the store are counters and cases full of gorgeous jewelry and many other little delights.

Susanna is a great place to shop for yourself and for gifts for friends. The fair prices, beautiful space, and really wonderful staff make the whole experience a real pleasure.
